Season 3 of The Art and Science of Difficult Conversations launches this week!
You hear so much about body language, interpreting lies or people hiding stuff from you – it’s hard to actually put that all into practice.
If your job was to interrogate people, then that stuff would be super useful.
But you don’t – at least, not in the way that law enforcement does.
No, you need a simple and effective way to read someone else’s body language.
Because can you really keep track of how someone’s eyes are moving as they’re talking?
Or watch how often they cross their arms or watching out for micro-expressions?
The truth is it’s hard to pay attention to all that.
Even as a therapist, where I’m paying attention to everything happening, it’s not easy to be mindful of everything all the time.
So as we launch season 3 of our podcast “The Art and Science of Difficult Conversations” (🎉🥳🥳🎉), I kick off the season sharing about:
- the 3 biggest myths/misconceptions about nonverbals and body language
- how we often get it wrong or misinterpret it
- the SIMPLEST way to read someone’s body language
In fact, it’s truly the only thing I ever teach people about reading body language and nonverbals.
It’s easy enough to grasp and understand that I think everyone can benefit from it.
